Disclosure

This blog complies with the new set of rules released by the Federal Trade Commission for Disclosure Compliance, which went into effect in 2015. These rules protect you as the reader/ viewer of web media (such as blogs, YouTube videos, Instagram posts, etc.) and inform you of any sponsorship, endorsement, or other relationship we may have with external companies. In short, we are going to be upfront with you if there’s a possibility that we’ll make money by sharing a link or product.

In compliance with the FTC guidelines, please assume the following about links and posts on this site: Any/all of the links on SincerelySpain.com may be affiliate links from which we receive a small compensation from sales of certain items.

But what are affiliate links, anyways?

Affiliate links are unique URLs that allow an external company to see that we have recommended you to their page. When a reader clicks on an affiliate link located on SincerelySpain.com to purchase an item or service, the reader is redirected to the external site and buys the product from the seller directly (not from Sincerely, Spain). However, Amazon and/or other companies may pay us a small commission or other compensation for promoting their website or products through their affiliate program.

Prices are exactly the same for you if your purchase is through an affiliate link or a non-affiliate link. You will not pay more by clicking through to the link.

The difference is that we may receive some financial compensation for recommending a product or service that we truly believe it and if you are inspired to purchase something through our suggestion we would greatly appreciate your support in this way.

So, what sort of affiliate links can be found on this site?

Affiliate Program Links

We currently use just one main affiliate program, but will be sure to update you if that changes.

1. Amazon Affiliate links:

Sincerely, Spain is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising program designed to provide a means for sites to earn advertising fees by advertising and linking to Amazon properties including, but not limited to, amazon.com, endless.com, myhabit.com, smallparts.com, or amazonwireless.com. Amazon offers a small commission on products sold through their affiliate links. Each of your purchases via our Amazon affiliation links supports our cause at no additional cost to you.

Amazon and the Amazon logo are trademarks of Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates.

If a blogger links to an Amazon product (with a special code for affiliates embedded in the link), and a reader places an item in their “shopping cart” through that link within 24 hours of clicking the link, the blogger gets a small percentage of the sale. Amazon links are not “pay per click.” If you click on the product link and stay around Amazon and purchase something else, however, we will get commission on that sale.

Anytime you see a link that looks like http://astore.amazon.com/...... or www.amazon.com/.... it is an Amazon affiliate link.

2.) All other links

Often, we link back to other blogs, resources, and companies we love simply because we want you to know about them. We believe in these external sites, products, and services and want to recommend them to you as we would to our friends, despite receiving no compensation for doing so.

At the same time, we occasionally do receive compensation or other benefits (such as free products/services or reduced costs for trying a product/service in order to provide our feedback to readers). If this is the case, we will make it evident at the top of the page on which these links appear so that you have the full disclosure. Regardless, we promise to only provide links to external sites we believe in and will not spam you with affiliate links that we do not genuinely feel could be of use to you.

In such a case, these affiliate links work the same way: if you click the link and buy the product/service Sincerely, Spain gets a percentage of the sale or some other type of compensation. Again, prices are not different if you use these affiliate links. You will not pay more by clicking through to the link. These links are not “pay per click.”

Please note, we are working hard to be as transparent as possible and to provide the appropriate disclosure statements on each and every page that includes an affiliate link. However, there is always the risk that one may slip through the cracks and for this reason we advise you to be aware that, although not all links on our website are affiliate links, they may be.

What about sponsored content?

We do not post sponsored content. Any articles that are tagged as ‘Guest Writer’ have been written by external sources but they have not been paid for. If we publish a guest post this is because we feel the content that the guest writer has to offer is something unique and of interest to our readers. Links back to their blogs, website, and social media pages are not affiliate links. As mentioned in the All other links section, we merely want to share these resources with you as we would with our friends.

And our social media pages?

If at any point we use Amazon or other affiliate links for product recommendations, we will be sure to include a link to this disclosure statement or otherwise properly denote the affiliate link with a “Affiliate link” or #ad in the post.

Final Note: We only recommend products and services we have used ourselves and/or that we would recommend to friends. It is never our intention to make money off of affiliate links at the cost of our readers’ trust. You are our number one priority and we keep your interests in mind each and every time we choose to include an affiliate link in this website’s content.

Sincerely,
Dani and Claudia
